Last year, I made Thanksgiving dinner and we invited friends over. This year, I was thankful for that practice run – our family came to town! One of my favorite things to cook for Thanksgiving is the turkey brine. I make it on Wednesday morning, right at the start of my break from work. It makes a wonderful aroma, and it definitely makes it feel like the holidays.
When it came to crunch time of roasting vegetables, warming casseroles, cutting the turkey, and making the gravy, my mom and mother-in-law came in to help. Thanks for traveling to Oklahoma, family! We loved having you!
